DAY 1: Piha/Hobbiton
Auckland pickup and straight out to Piha beach.

DAY 2: Taupo/Rotorua or Waitomo caves
Taupo/Rotorua: After breakfast its off to see the adventure centres of Taupo and Rotorua. There are so many options to choose from such as Skydiving, Jetboating, Downhill Luge, Scenic Gondola rides, ZORBING, Quad biking, Golf, Bungy Jumping, Geothermal hot pools etc etc etc!!! Then we drive the amazing Desert road to our chalet in Ohakune.
Waitomo: A day Blackwater Rafting, shearing rabbits, wandering through the glowworm caves or a cave boating adventure, before hitting the road and off to our wonderful Mountain chalet in Ohakune.

DAY 3: The Tongariro crossing
This hike is said to be one of the best day walks in the world.
Your driver will take you around into National Park and drop you at the beginning of the trail.
This is a one way journey 19.4 kms through one of the most raw natural environments in the country. Your driver will then be waiting for you when you emerge on the other side.
Alternatively you can head out for a day of leisurely activities around the mountain, such as Mountain Biking, fishing or hiking.
One favourite option is to arrange a mountain guide & walk to the summit & crater lake of the active volcano Mount Ruapehu.
We understand how tired you'll be and so this evening we put on a delicious complimentary BBQ for your group back at the chalet.
All activities are very dependent upon the volcanic activity in the area.

DAY 4: Gravity Canyon, Rafting & The Rangitikei River
We depart Ohakune & head south towards the Mighty Manawatu, home to the largest windfarm in the country.
We'll stop off at the insane Mokai Gravity Canyon if you wish to try the highest Bungy in the North Island (85m), try the ludicrous bridge swing or the 1km flying fox which can reach speeds of 160 kph!
After this we head on down to Mangaweka where we offer an hour or two of rafting/kayaking adventures down the Rangitikei river before heading on south through some of New Zealand's most idyllic farmland
Once in the Rangitikei region we'll head off to our afternoon destination for a taste of the true New Zealand farming world at our accommodation at the amazing Rangitikei Farmstay.

We depart the Manawatu after breakfast and head through the famous Manawatu gorge to the Tui brewery for a quick rest stop and then if time on to Mount Bruce Animal sanctuary where you can see many of our rare and endangered species including an EXTREMELY RARE WHITE KIWI!!
Then its on to Martinborough for some wine tasting. Martinborough is world renowned for its wines and we are very proud to offer you an afternoon relaxing with some of the best wines you will ever find.
Then its off over the mighty Rimutaka ranges to our capital of Wellington. Time and weather permitting your driver will escort you to the summit of Mt Victoria in the heart of the city, which offers 360 degree views of the city. Truly a beautiful sight.
Then it's Farewell from us unless of course you are continuing on with us for our magical South Island Adventure.
Most vineyards ask a small wine tasting fee of around $5 to cover their costs.
All wines may be purchased directly from the Cellar doors.

OVER n' UNDER
This is our Central North Island interior circuit tour.
We will pick your group up from anywhere in the North Island and bring you to the closest point of the circuit where we'll travel for 5 days and 4 nights, and then drop you back where we started. Your journey will take you over mountains and deep underground, traveling along some of the most amazing scenic roads in the world. Day 1: We customise a day for your group to get to the most convenient starting point on the circuit from your base. Days 2,3,4: Travel the circuit, staying in Rotorua, Waitomo and Ohakune. Day 5: Final day of adventures, after which we'll hit the road & get you back home in the evening. |
