Itinerary

Day 1: Auckland/Coromandel
  • Pick up from your accommodation in Auckland
  • Today is a relaxing drive around the amazing Coromandel Peninsula
  • We'll stop in at the beautiful town of Whitianga for lunch
  • Next is the famous Hot-water beach for a dig & a bathe
  • Then we continue around the peninsula to cathedral cove
  • Stay Opoutere
Day 2: Hobbiton/Rotorua
  • Off to the famous movie set village of Hobbiton
  • continue on to Rotorua
  • evening options of the Mitai or Tamaki Maori village show & meal
  • or, relax in the famous Polynesian outdoor lake-spa
  • Stay Rotorua

Day 3: Rotorua/Taupo
  • Choose from a large selection of Rotorua activities
  • After a full day of adventure we'll drop you off at your accommodation in Taupo
  • Stay Taupo

Day 4: Taupo/Ohakune
  • Pick up from your accommodation in Taupo
  • Choose from the huge range of awesome activities available in Taupo
  • Drive the famous Desert Road to our super comfy mountain chalet in Ohakune
  • Stay Ohakune

Day 5: Tongariro National Park
  • Breakfast at the chalet
  • The famous Tongariro crossing (weather dependent).
  • or, hike the famous crater walk at the summit of Mt Ruapehu
  • or, choose from a selection of great walks/bike rides in the area
  • Stay Ohakune chalet

Day 6: Ohakune/Waitomo
  • We start the day with a hearty breakfast
  • First we'll head up the mountain road to the Turoa skifield parking area for some stunning views & some short walks.
  • You can cycle all the way down the mountain road if you dare, we can arrange to have mountain bikes delivered to the parking area. 16kms all downhill.
  • or, canoe the famous Wanganui river
  • Possibly walk/cycle the old coach road before heading off to Waitomo
  • Shear an angora rabbit if time
  • Stay Waitomo

Day 7: Waitomo/Auckland
  • 1-7 hours of underground blackwater rafting adventures awaits.
  • There are many levels of excitement including easy scenic tours through the glowworms caves for those wishing to take it easy
  • If time allows we'll drop in to the beautiful Kiwi house in Otorohanga
  • Then it's off back to AK. drop off around 5.00-6.00pm
